The Briefing launches — what to expect every Tuesday
A weekly read for Geelong's professional services community: industry news, one member spotlight, one sector deep-dive. No filler.
Why a Briefing, and why now
For a region the size of Geelong, the professional services community has been remarkably under-served by editorial. The big metros each get a dedicated weekly read; we get reshared LinkedIn posts. The Briefing is the fix: one short email each Tuesday at 6:30am AEST, written by Felix Huang, vetted before publication, no ads, no pay-to-play rankings.
Subscribers can expect the same three sections every week: a tight industry-news round-up filtered for Geelong relevance, a single member spotlight (firms we have actually vetted), and one sector deep-dive that tells you something you did not already know.
What earns space — and what does not
We cover capital raises, partner moves, new opens, regulatory changes that touch local practice, sector M&A with regional implications, and recurring patterns we see across multiple firms. We do not cover press releases that do not survive a second read, sponsored content under any label, or rankings of any kind.
If a firm pays $199/month for Premium membership, that buys them the curated profile, search prominence, and event access. It does not buy them coverage in the Briefing. That separation is the entire point.
